Prime suspect held in Cumilla

Detectives in a drive in Cumilla on Sunday arrested the prime suspect in the case for killing of six-year-old girl Samia Afrin Sayma after rape in Dhaka's Wari area, reports UNB.

They arrested Harun-Or-Rashid, a painter by profession, from Darbardanga area in Titas Upazila of Cumilla district.

Harun used to live in the same building where the victim's family resides.

Tipped off, a team of DB east division conducted a drive in the area and arrested Harun around 11:30 am, said Abdul Baten, Additional Commissioner of DB.

Earlier, Samia Afrin Sayma, daughter of Abdus Salam, was found dead at a nine-storey building of Wari on Friday night.

Later, victim's father filed a case with Wari Police Station.
