Princess Zahra attends silver jubilee of AKS

Princess Zahra Aga Khan, the eldest daughter of Aga Khan, attended the silver jubilee programme of Aga Khan School (AKS) in the city Friday, reports UNB.

Princess Zahra, head of Social Welfare Department of Aga Khan Development Network, visited the school and exchanged her views with the students on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of AKS, which was established in 1988.

Princess Zahra met the leaders of Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Bangladesh at the Ismaili Jama'tkhana and Centre, Dhaka.

She addressed the Ismaili community and attended a dinner with the Ismaili leadership of the country.

Princess Zahra is also a member of the board of trustees of Aga Khan University.

The AKDN had been working for over three decades in Bangladesh.

In 2013, a protocol agreement signed by Aga Khan and former Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni in the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, established an enhanced framework for collaboration in the areas of social, cultural and economic development.
