The holy Probarana purnima, one of the important religious festivals of the Buddhist community, was observed Tuesday night, reports BSS.
In the evening of Probarana, the Buddhist devotees release 'Fanush' (Paper balloons) in the sky as a part of their worshipping of Lord Buddha."
The programmes of the day includes hoisting of the National Flag, Ashtasheel and Panchasheel Grohan, Buddha Puja and offering of Pinda to the monks in the morning, reception, discussion, Pradeep Puja and Sheel Grohan in the afternoon releasing of paper balloons in the sky in the evening.
