Dhaka University (DU) Arts Faculty Dean Prof Akhtaruzzaman was elected president of Bangladesh College University Teachers' Association (BCUTA) for the three year terms, reports BSS.
Tenjgaon College Principal Prof Md Abdur Rashid became executive president while Prof Sirajul Haque Alo was elected general secretary.
A 151-member central committee of BCUTA was announced in the council session of 7th national conference of the association at TSC auditorium of DU Friday.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the conference while Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam attended it as the chief guest.
State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and DU Arts Faculty Dean Prof M Akhtaruzzaman were present as the special guests.
