CHATTOGRAM, Mar 07: Professor Engineer Ali Ashraf, a veteran city planner and environmental activist, died at a hospital in Dhaka on Sunday.
He was 68.
His first namaj-e- janaja was held at Jamiatul Falah national mosque while second Namaje Janaja was held at her village at Fatikchhari in Chattogram.
He was buried at his village home Fatikchhari in Chattogram on Sunday.
Ali Ashraf was the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Southern University of Chattogram and president of Institution of Engineers, Chattogram centre.
He left behind two sons and one daughter, wife and a host of relatives to mourn his death.
