Protest against vandalism of Balaka continues

Dhaka University (DU) students put up barricades at all the entry points of the campus from dawn to dusk Wednesday demanding exemplary punishment to the 'fundamentalists' involved in vandalism of Balaka sculpture.
The protesters also staged day-long demonstration at the footstep of Raju sculpture at TSC area halting traffic movements through the campus causing immense sufferings to the commuters.
The demonstrators, most of whom were students of DU Fine Art Faculty and activists of several left-leaning student organisations, asserted that they would continue their protest programme everyday until their five demands were met.
