Public univ teachers protest attack on Zafar Iqbal

Teachers of different public universities protested the attack on eminent writer Prof Mohammad Zafar Iqbal on Monday, report agencies.
Dhaka University Teachers' Association (DUTA) formed a human chain on the campus on Monday protesting the attack on educationist Professor Dr Mohammad Zafar Iqbal.
The association held the human chain around 11:00 am at Aparajeya Bangla premises. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman also attended the human chain.
Islamic University Teachers' Association (IUTA) formed a human-chain on the campus in Kushtia protesting the attack.
At least three hundred teachers of different departments attended the human-chain in front of the university's arts faculty building.
Teachers of Chittagong University (CU) observed one-hour work abstention in protest against brutal attack on eminent educationist Prof. Dr Zafar Iqbal.
Teachers of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology observed a sit-in from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday to protest an attack on their colleague Prof Zafar Iqbal.
Teachers from different departments began to congregate in front of the administrative building for a sit-in. Vice-Chancellor Farid Uddin Ahmed and Treasurer Elias Uddin Biswas also joined the protesters.
