"Muktijuddhe Shohid Chikitshok Jibonkosh", a publication on the contributions and supreme sacrifices of the freedom fighters was launched in a function in the city Wednesday.
HT Imam, advisor to the Prime Minister unveiled the book while AFM Ruhul Haque, minister of Health and Family Planning was present in the ceremony as chief guest.
Dipu Moni, minister for Foreign Affairs; Syed Modasser Ali, advisor to the Prime Minister; Mujibur Rahman Fakir, state minister of Health and Family Planning and AB Tajul Islam, state minister of Liberation War and Oddvar Hesjedal, chief executive officer of Grameenphone, among others, were present in the ceremony.
Bayezid Khurshid Riaz is the author of the book published by Shahitto Prakash. The publication records the heroism of 81 doctors and 10 students who sacrificed their lives during the war.
Grameenphone sponsored the publication ceremony of the book.
