Saima Wazed Hossain Putul, chairperson of National Advisory Committee of Global Autism Public Health Initiative in Bangladesh, urged international community to come forward for the development of autistic children, reports BSS.
"The international community has to come forward for the development of autistic children as they have the right to be grown up in society as other normal children," she said.
Putul, also the daughter of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said this while taking part in a discussion on 'Crisis, Conflict and Disability: Ensuring Equality" at UN Headquarters, New York on June 12, according to a message received in the city Saturday.
Mentioning Autism as a global problem, she said giving special attention from family to international level to address the issue could be the main tool to eradicate the menace from the world.
