Qazi Motahar Husain Memorial Lecture held

National Professor Qazi Motahar Husain Memorial Lecture was held at Teacher-Student Centre auditorium at Dhaka University (DU) on Sunday, reports UNB.
Qazi Motahar Foundation and the DU Department of Statistics, Biostatistics and Informatics jointly organised the programme.
DU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the lecture session as the chief guest.
Founder Vice-chancellor of Bangladesh Open University Prof Dr Shamsher Ali delivered the lecture on 'Guru Qazi Motahar Husain: Many Memories'.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Arefin Siddique said the national will remember Qazi Motahar Husain forever for his outstanding contribution to the country's science education and research.
"Motahar Husain did not keep himself confined to science and statistics only, but also worked for the welfare and freedom of human being," he said.
Recalling his contribution to science practice, women education, developing non-communal spirit, the DU VC said the new generation should follow the ideology of Motahar Husain.
