Rajshahi University (RU) has officially announced the quota requirements for applicants seeking admission under special categories for the 2025-26 academic year.
The notice, signed by the university's acting registrar, Prof Dr Iftikharul Alam Masud, outlines specific criteria for candidates applying under various quotas.
They are required to bring attested copies of their community certificates along with all necessary academic documents.
Similarly, children of freedom fighters who score at least 40 marks in the test will need to attend the Freedom Fighter Quota Selection Committee meeting as per the schedule published on the university's website.
Applicants must present attested copies of their parents' Freedom Fighter certificates and relevant academic records.
Physically challenged candidates who meet the minimum qualifying score must appear before the respective selection committee with their disability certificates and academic documents.
For candidates applying under the sports quota, they must provide documentation proving participation in any national-level sporting event within the last two years.
These applicants must also attend the Sports Selection Committee meeting as per the timeline posted on the RU website.
The notice emphasises that the minimum pass mark of 40 for all quota categories is non-negotiable and cannot be waived under any circumstances.
Additionally, candidates are reminded that they must follow the online application guidelines carefully. Failure to do so will invalidate their quota application.
