Rab asked to submit probe report by Aug 13

A Dhaka court asked Sunday Rab to submit its investigation report on the murder of journalist couple Sagar and Runi by August 13, reports UNB.

As the investigation report has not been submitted to the court after 26 fixed dates, including Sunday's deadline, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Erfan Ullah fixed the fresh deadline on August 13.

Eight of the accused in the case were produced before the court Sunday.

Since the murder of Sagar and Runi in 2012, two officers of Rab-1 --ASP Jafar Ullah and ASP M Wares Ali Mian -- have been appointed investigation officers of the case one after another.
