RAB intensifies surveillance at stations, terminals

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has intensified its surveillance at railway stations as well as bus and launch terminals to ensure safety and security of the homebound passengers on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Azha.

"We're keeping our mobile tracking system functioning. Our teams are working at railway stations as well as bus and launch terminals," said Commander Arafat Islam, RAB Director (Legal and Media), after visiting Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital on Thursday.

"Railway authority is with us. RAB will work to prevent passengers' harassment, especially women. Our drives against various parties (malam and agyan) are going on."

He called upon the passengers not to create intimacy with unknown people while traveling.
