Radio Aamar observes half-yearly celebration

Radio Aamar 101FM Monday vowed to start countrywide transmission gradually following huge response of the listeners during the last six months of its on-air programmes.

Julficar Ahmed, Managing Director (MD) of the private radio channel disclosed this on the occasion of half-yearly celebration of Radio Aamar, a press release said.

The radio channel with theme---True Voice of Bangladesh---is one of the three on-air private radio channels in the country.

The channel has started its transmission on December 11, from Dhaka and already reached Gazipur, Manikganj and Daudkandi.

Popular programmes of the channel are: Amar Shokal, Nitya Bela, Rock the Down, Music Train, Melody Mania, Sunday Night, Moner Janala, etc.

Radio Aamar has been broadcasting different and modern programmes that attracted a large audience in only six months' period, Mr Ahmed said.
