Rain brings down mercury in city

The capital city experienced light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday, which brought down the temperature slightly.
The Met office recorded 15mm of rain in Dhaka until 6:00pm on the day.
The maximum temperature recorded in Dhaka was 32.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday as against 32.8 degrees the previous day.
The country's highest rainfall of 154mm was recorded in Sylhet until 6:00pm on Tuesday while the country's highest temperature of 35 degrees was recorded in Rajshahi.
The Met office forecast that light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country today (Wednesday).
And the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
The sun sets in Dhaka at 5:40pm today (Wednes-day) and will rise at 5:53am tomorrow (Thursday).
