RAJSHAHI, Oct-19: "Let all of us try to alleviate poverty" this was the slogan to celebrate the international poverty alleviation day in Rajshahi.
Several hundred people gathered and formed human chain and organised cultural programme to celebrate the day in Rajshahi.
Campaign for Good Governance (CGG) organised the programme Wednesday at the Padma Mandir premises under Boalia thana of the city.
Members of Parabar Cultural organisation and Rajshahi Theatre presented songs and Gombhira. At the last leg of the function, audience raised their hands and took oath for alleviating the poverty. At that time the organisers announced in the microphone "let us try to alleviate poverty. We should be united to build a corruption free and hunger free Bangladesh".
