RAJUK to give nod within 15 days

From now on RAJUK (Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha) will approve designs of private plots or lands within 15 working days. Earlier, the time was 30 days, a Ministry of Housing & Public Works (MoHPW) handout said on Monday.

Besides, designs of other lands and no objection certificates (NOCs) of special projects will be given in 40 days instead of 45 days, the handout mentioned.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on the day between the MoHPW and RAJUK at the secretariat in the city.  

Joint Secretary of MoHPW Md Ahsan Habib Talukder and Chairman of RAJUK G M Jainal Abedin Bhuiya signed the MoU in favour of their respective agencies. Minister for MoHPW Engr Mosharraf Hossain was present in the MoU signing ceremony.

From now on, NOCs for use of individual lands or plots will be given within 25 days which was 30 days earlier. Construction period of 400-metre bridge of the Jhilmil residential project has been fixed at 15 months from 18 months.

The ministry will regularly monitor and evaluate standard of activities of the RAJUK and submit reports to the government in this connection, according to the MoU.
