Rakib died from excessive bleeding: Autopsy report

KHULNA, Aug 8 (UNB): Rakib, the 12-year-old boy who was brutally tortured to death allegedly by his employers in Khulna city on August 3, died due to excessive internal bleeding in his abdomen following the torture, said the autopsy report on Saturday.

Doctor Muhammad Wahid Mahmud Robin of Khulna Medical College Hospital conducted the postmortem.

Sub-inspector Kazi Mostak Ahmed, who is the investigation officer of the case, received the report from the forensic department at noon.

The report said as an air-compressor was pressed into the anus of the minor boy for pumping air into his abdomen it caused excessive bleeding in his abdomen, leading to his death.
