bKash agent robbed of Tk 0.4 m in Magura

MAGURA, Jan 23: Muggers robbed of Tk 0.4 million from an agent of mobile phone money transfer operator 'bKash' at Ramkantapur in Shalikha upazila on Thursday. Police said a group of five muggers in two motorcycles intercepted Asaduzzaman, an agent of 'bKash', in the area, and took away a bag containing Tk 0.4 million from him at gunpoint in the afternoon. Man held with 40,000 Yaba tablets in Cox's Bazar

COX'S BAZAR, Jan 23: Police in a drive arrested a man with 40,000 pieces of Yaba tablet from Naitongpara on the bank of the Naf river in Teknaf upazila early Friday. The arrested was identified as Kamal Hossain, 25, son of Abdur Rahman of Teknaf upazila. Tipped off, a team of police conducted a raid in the area and arrested Kamal with the tablets around 6.00am, said Ataur Rahman Khandakar, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station.
