Rashid Ahmed Chy made CIU treasurer

CHATTOGRAM, June 26: Professor Dr. Engr. Rashid Ahmed Chowdhury has been appointed the new Treasurer of Chittagong Independent University (CIU) for four years, effective immediately.

The President of Bangladesh and Chancellor of CIU made the appointment in accordance with Section 33(1) of the Private Universities Act 2010. It was communicated through a letter from the Ministry of Education on Tuesday.

Prof. Chowdhury has a degree in Applied Science in Mining Technology from College of Eastern Utah, USA, and a doctorate degree from University of Chittagong. He brings extensive expertise to his new role, with a diverse background in engineering, applied sciences, and international training programmes.
