The presidency of the two holy mosques in Saudi Arabia has made it clear that the reports being published in the media about the tomb of the Great Prophet and Masjid Nabawi are based on personal opinion of a researcher and not on state's position.
Such clarification came in an explanatory statement of the General Presidency for the affairs of the two holy mosques, Masjid Al Haram and Masjid An Nabawi, regarding what has been circulated about the Prophet's tomb and chamber in the Masjid Nabawi.
Mr. Ahmed Bin Mohammad Al-Mansouri, the media spokesman for the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques affairs, came up with the clarification, according to a press release issued Saturday by the Saudi embassy in Dhaka.
He said what is being circulated in the media about the chamber where the Prophet's tomb is situated at the Prophet's Mosque is related to a special study carried out by a researcher.
"It does not represent the opinion of the state - may Allah protect it - which has utmost keenness in serving the two holy Mosques and maintaining their sanctity. This is the personal opinion and outlook of a researcher who had expressed his views in a study," the release quoted him as saying.
The clarification says prevailing system has been followed in this academic research.
"It has not been expressed by any source of publication belonging to the Presidency. The article No. 11 has manifested the terms and conditions of publication under which the research should be published. The Presidency is clarifying that in order to confirm the researchers and the media-men not to engage in publishing reports that create confusion, incite sedition and disturbance."
The presidency urged that such report should be based on wisdom, objectivity, truthfulness and lack of exaggeration, especially in those matters related to the two holy mosques.
"Allah is Giver of ability and Guide to the right path," the mosque management concluded.
