RMCH to boost overall security arrangement

RAJSHAHI, Jan 9 (BSS): Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) has taken decision of intensifying its security arrangement alongside improving standard of services.

To this end, the hospital authority will install close circuit camera in eight important points very soon. Besides, the number of security personnel will be enhanced.

The decision was taken in the meeting of RMCH Management Committee held at its conference hall yesterday in the wake of recurrent stealing of newborns.

With Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, President of the management committee, in the chair, Member Secretary and Director of RMCH Brig Gen AKM Nasir Uddin and Members Dr Tabibur Rahman Sheikh, Dr Shahidur Rahman Tarafder, Dr Khalilur Rahman, Shaheen Akhter Rainy and Akbarul Hassan Millat attended and addressed the meeting.

Lawmaker Badsha asked the officials and others concerned for overall improvement of services of the hospital for betterment of the public in general as many of the common people especially the poor and marginally are totally dependent on it for their emergency healthcare needs.

So, the hospital must be functioned as pro-people so that the hopes and aspirations of the people are reflected properly.

He stressed the need for enhancing the number of bed in Intensive Care Unit and introduction of burn unit for widening area of the service-delivery activities.
