LAXMIPUR, Feb 14 (UNB): A suspected robber was shot dead in a gunfight between two groups of robbers in Berirmatha area in Char Shahi union of the district early Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Jabed Mintu, member of inter-district robbery gang and son of Hossian Ahmed, a resident of Itkhola village of the union.
Mokter Hossain, officer-in-charge of Chandraganj Police Station, said two gangs of robbers got into a dispute over sharing of the money which triggered a gunfight, leaving Mintu bullet-hit.
