Robbery in 11 Natore shops, five arrested

NATORE, May 03 (UNB): Police have arrested five suspected robbers for looting valuables from 11 shops at a market in Bagatiparaupazila of Natore.

The arrestees are Abdur Rahman, Shahjahan, Selim, Naser and ShaheenAlam.

Superintendent of Police Liton Kumar Saha in a press briefing on Monday said the robbers tied up three night guards of the market and threw them into the Baralriver before committing robbery.

Four teams of police conducted a drive and arrested the five robbers .

The truck used for the robbery was recovered from Naogaon.

The operation to arrest the other robbers is continuing, police said.
