NARAYANGANJ, July 2 (BSS): Rail, Road Transport and Bridges and Shipping Minister Sheikh Robiul Alam said news reports claiming that the viaduct is in danger because soil was removed from underneath it are not true.
After inspecting the soil excavation beneath the Padma Bridge Rail Link Project's viaduct in Fatullah upazila, the minister said the work was being carried out according to plan, not in an unplanned or random manner.
He said the excavation is part of the contractor's responsibility to restore the site to its original condition after construction.
