Role of Ansar, VDP in women’s empowerment stressed

RAJSHAHI, Apr 4 (BSS): Ansar-VDP are playing pivotal role in women empowerment besides removing gender disparity in the grassroots, said the speakers here at a workshop.

They said many women are becoming self-reliant after getting Ansar and VDP-sponsored income-generating training programmes.

They were addressing the closing and certificate-giving ceremony of a 28-day foundation training workshop for team leaders held at Naohata Regional Ansar and VDP Training centre in Rajshahi on Thursday. The course is intended for more participation of women in human resource development.

Range Director Pabitra Kumar Shaha addressed the closing session and distributed certificates as the chief guest.

General Manager of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank Abdul Khaleque Khan and District Commandant Syed Mustaque Hassan, among others, spoke at the session.

Discussants said the reputed Ansar-VDP organisation is gradually becoming a symbol of development in the process of building Digital Bangladesh.

Besides, they are playing vital roles with utmost dedication and sincerity in implementing the development programmes at the grassroots level side by side maintaining law and order in the country.
