RU Hons 1st yr admission fees through Bkash

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Nov 15: The Rajshahi University (RU) authorities signed an agreement with bKash Limited in order to facilitate the payment of admission fees for the first year Honors admission seekers in academic session of 2014-15.

RU register Prof. Entajul Haque confirmed the news.

Students will have to pay money from customer bKash account, not from agent account. After payment, the candidates will receive an ID No. from bKash that will be needed in process of filing online admission forms.

Bkash payment system will significantly reduce the hassles faced by students. This facility is likely to be extended for other types of fee collections as well sources said.

Another report adds: With view to promoting reading habit among the students, Shakha Pathchakra of Bishwa Sahitya Kendra (BSK) will organise a book reading competition at the Rajshahi University.

Students from RU, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) and from nearer colleges and schools can participate in this contest by completing registration.

The contestants will have to read a Bengali book named 'Lalsalu' written by Sayed Waliullah to get the recognition as a reader. A forty numbers MCQ test will be held on November 30 around 3:30pm afternoon at university Ismail Hossain Siraji Bhaban.

The organisers will provide the books at their stalls to be collected by the enthusiasts in exchange of only Tk 100 as security money.

After publishing the result on December 1, the winning students will be awarded with books on university Shaheed Minar premises that day.

The registration process will continue until November 22.
