Founder & CEO of ICE Technologies Rubaiyat Jamil, 46, passed away while he was playing a cricket match in Hathazari, Chittagong on Friday.

He was the only son of Late Mahbub Jamil, Former Special Assistant to Chief Adviser in 2008-09, and Chairman of Singer BD Ltd, said a press release on Saturday.

Rubaiyat Jamil was a young entrepreneur involved in multiple startups ranging from technology, food retail, elevators and escalators and industrial cooling solutions.

He was a former Director of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Dhaka, and an active member of International Chamber of Commerce Bangladesh, German Chamber of Commerce and Industries, BASIS, Gulshan Club, International Club Dhaka, Gulshan Youth Club and Savar Golf Club. Rubaiyat Jamil was a passionate cricketer and was privileged to be a part of the Bangladesh under-16 and under-19 cricket teams. He left behind his mother, sister, wife, three daughters and host of relatives and friends to mourn his death. His Namaz-e-Janazah will be held today (Sunday) after Zuhr prayers at Gulshan Azad Mosque after which he will be laid to the eternal rest in Banani Graveyard.
