A Dhaka court granted on Sunday bail to Rupayan Group Chairman Liyakat Ali Khan Mukul in the case filed over inferno that killed 27 people and injured 70 others at Banani FR Tower on March 28, reports BSS.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Sadbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury passed the order as Mukul surrendered before the court and pleaded for bail. The prosecution, however, opposed his plea.
Earlier on April 11, Tasvir Ul Islam, one of the owners of FR Tower, was granted bail in the case, while SMHI Faruque, owner of the land where the skyscraper is standing, was given bail on May 06.
