The sixth anniversary of death of M Saifur Rahman, the country's longest-serving finance minister, will be observed today (Saturday), said a press release.
BNP will arrange a doa mahfil on the day seeking salvation of the departed soul of its ex-standing committee member and finance minister M Saifur Rahman.
The programme will be held on the ground floor of the party's Nayapaltan central office in the city after Asr prayers.
Saifur died in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway on September 4, 2009, at the age of 77. Durre Samad Rahman and Saifur Rahman Foundation chalked out various programmes, including discussions and milad mahfil, to observe the day with due respect.
