CHATTOGRAM, Nov 3: National convener of Sampritee Bangladesh Pijush Bandyopaddhyaya said the communal forces will be trying to raise their heads in the upcoming months as the national election is approaching.
The conscious people of the country, including the youths, must remain vigilant against any kind of notorious activities like the atrocities in the post-2001 election and 2013-14.
He said that a Sampritee Samabesh with people from all sections will be held at the Chattogram Shilpakala Academy auditorium on Sunday (tomorrow) to launch door-to-door campaign to make people vigilant against the communal forces in the months ahead.
He said this while addressing a press conference at Chittagong Press Club on Saturday morning. It was also addressed by former president of Chittagong Press Club Rashed Rauf.
On behalf of the organisers the press conference was also attended by general secretary of Shilpakala Academy Saiful Alam, Janmastami Parishad secretary Gouranga Dey, former Chhatra Union leader Anup Saha, BFUJ vice president Reaz Hyder Chowdhury and Mujahidul Islam.
Mr Pijush said the gathering will be presided over by vice chancellor of the Premier University Professor Anupam Sen. It will also be addressed by VC of Chittagong University Professor Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury and professional and cultural activists
