Saraswati Puja celebrated at NUB

The Hindu students studying at the Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) celebrated the Saraswati Puja Tuesday with due religious fervour.
The students, who invoke blessings of the goddess for success in learning arts and crafts, observed the festival wearing yellow clothes. They arrived at the NUB business campus at Dhanmondi in the city in the morning and worshipped the goddess until evening.
The Dean of Business Faculty Prof Dr M Azhar-ud-Din in a meeting on the eve of the carnival greeted the students. Prof M A Razzaque, head of the department of business, Prof Abu Ayub Md Baker, Prof Ashraf Ali and Md FaizuIlah Kawshik, Deputy Registrar, among others, attended the function.
Saraswati is worshipped as the "goddess of speech and wisdom."
