SARPV-Bangladesh concludes training session

A six-day leadership training programme for women with disabilities, organised by SARPV-Bangladesh concluded at the city's BIAM Foundation recently, said a press release.
Twenty-five women with disabilities participated in the training on the issues of analysing the situation of women with disabilities, their rights, existing facilities, laws, advocacy, networking, organisational development and the leadership capacity and how these issues could be incorporated in the mainstream development process. There were facilitators from national and international arena at all the training sessions.
After completion of the training, a nine-member convening committee was formed to explore the network on women with disabilities, programmes and rights at national level.
The members of the convening committee are -- Nargis Parveen, Mahbuba Jahan, Anamika Pandey, Tanjida Parveen Sima, Nasrin Akhter Jahan, Ruma Akhter, Jolly Kawsar and Dolly Akhter.
