SC upholds HC order

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld a High Court order that granted anticipatory bail to Anjan Chowdhury, one of the key stakeholders of the Square Group, for six weeks in a case filed on charge of hoarding 4812 tonnes of extra aromatic rice in a warehouse at Gopalganj Bazar in Dinajpur Sadar upazila.

Justice M Enayetur Rahim, chamber judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, passed the order after hearing a petition filed by the state against the High Court order.
