Security guard killed in city

A security guard was killed by unidentified miscreants at Shewrapara in the city late Wednesday night, reports UNB.

The victim was identified as Abdul Motaleb (40), security guard of Orion Security Services.

The police said several criminals hit him with sharp weapons leaving him dead at about 1:30 am. Later, they left the body at Shamim Shoroni in the area.

On information, the police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Reason behind the killing could not be ascertained immediately. The police suspected that previous enmity could be the reason behind the killing.
