Security men of Ctg port suspended

CHITTAGONG, Dec 05: Two security personnel of Chittagong port have been suspended for their negligence of duty. They are assistant sub-inspector Belayet Hossain and security guard Quamrul.
Director (security) of Chittagong Port Lt Col. Quamrul Islam ordered their suspension yesterday after it was detected that two small cartons inside a big carton of computer accessories were missing from an imported container at yard 8 of jetty no. 4 of the port.
Lt Col Islam said the suspended security men were on duty when at the jetty when the swindling occurred. A committee has been formed to investigate the matter, Chittagong port secretary Syed Farhad Uddin said.
