Seed distributed among farmers

NATORE, Sept 25 (BSS): Seeds and seedlings of different vegetables were distributed among the farmers of Baraigram Upazila of the district under the government's post-flood agriculture rehabilitation programme.
The seed distribution programme was organised at Baraigram Upazila parishad auditorium Monday. Deputy Commissioner of Natore SM Ehsan Kabir inaugurated the seed distribution programme.
With UNO of Baraigram in the chair, the function was attended among others, by deputy director of Department of Agriculture Extension AKM Sakhawat Hossain, upazila agriculture officer SM Kamruzzaman.
About 10,000 seedlings of pumpkin grown by the DAE were distributed among the farmers.
Official sources said about 4,153 farmers of Baraigram Upazila were brought under the post-flood agriculture rehabilitation programme. They will be given seeds of vegetables, pulses, maize, wheat and paddy.
