Seven of a family injured in city gas stove blast

At least seven members of a family sustained burn injuries in a fire incident caused by gas stove explosion at a house at Lake Circus Road in the city's Kalabagan area early Saturday, reports UNB.
The injured were identified as Sumon, 35, Reshma, 24, Rabbi, 14, Rubina, 40, Ayesha, 12, Bithi, 14. and Mamata, 65.
Bhajan Sarkar, inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Control Room, said a fire broke out at the kitchen room of the semi-pucca house following explosion of the gas stove while lighting the stove around 5:38 am, leaving seven people injured.
On information, four firefighting units rushed in and doused the flame around 6:25 am.
The injured were rushed to the burn unit of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
