Seven to die for murdering man in Gazipur

GAZIPUR, Sept 10 (UNB): A court here sentenced on Monday seven people to death in a case filed in connection with murder of a businessman in 2011.

The condemned convicts are- Rajib Hossain Raju, Md Kaiyum, Rajib Hossain, Faruk Hossain, Shafiqul Islam, Ali Hossain and Mohammad Ali.

The court also sentenced another accused Masud to 10 years' imprisonment.

According to the prosecution, there was an enmity between Milon Bhuiyan, son of Habibur Rahman in Laxmipura area and the convicts over money.

The convicts obstructed Milon in front of Bhawal National Park on February 26 in 2011 and hacked him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.
