Shabbir Ahmad made envoy to S Africa

The government has appointed Shabbir Ahmad Chowdhury, currently serving as Bangladesh High Commissioner to Mauritius, as the High Commissioner to South Africa.
A career diplomat, Chowdhury served at Bangladesh missions in Beijing, Brussels, London and New York in different capacities.
Mr. Shabbir Ahmad Chowdhury belongs to the 9th batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre.
