Founding secretary Shahin-ul Islam Chowdhury was elected president of the Chittagong Journalists' Forum Dhaka (CJFD) at its AGM held in the city Friday with outgoing president Anis Alamgir in the chair, said a press release.
M Saem Tipu was reelected secretary general for the second term. Other office bearers are: Vice-president-Saif Islam Dilal (Amar Desh), Joint Secretary-Anup Khastagir (BSS), Tresurer-Syed Golam Mostafa (Banglabazar Patrika), Office secretary-Mostafa Kajal (Manabjamin) and Cultural secretary Touhidul Islam (RTV).
All the executives were elected on the basis of consensus. The executive members are: Minar Mansur (Sangbad), Hosain Zakir (Jugantar) and Santosh Sharma (Shugandha).
Columnist Ranjit Kumar Biswas was the chief election commissioner.
