A delegation of the Dhaka International Film Festival led by Indian eminent film actress Sharmila Tagore on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Gonabhaban in the city, reports UNB.
Sharmila arrived in Dhaka on January 19 to attend the 22nd Dhaka International Film Festival to grace the occasion as the special guest.
Other delegation members are noted Indian actress and dancer Mamata Shankar, film actress Swastika Mukherjee and film director Sohini Ghosh. Shahriar Alam, MP, and President of Rainbow Film Society Ahmed Mujtoba Jabal, among others, were present. PM's Assistant Press Secretary ABM Sarwer-E-Alom Sarker informed the matter.
The festival, organised by the Rainbow Film Society, will run from January 20 to 28, showcasing an array of international films on various premises across the capital.
