The fire might originate from an electric short circuit on the second floor of Tropical Razia Shopping Complex, next to Twin Tower Concord, around 5:00 pm, Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) headquarters control room duty officer Ataur Rahman said.
On information, 11 fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control within one hour. No one was injured in the incident, he said.
An investigation was underway to determine the cause of the blaze and the extent of losses till filing of this report at around 7:30 pm.
