Siblings drown in Cumilla pond

CUMILLA, Aug 29 (UNB): Two children drowned in a pond at Nowagao village of Manoharganj in Cumilla on Saturday.
The deceased are Ziad, 9, and his cousin brother Sayed, 7.
Local Union Parishad member Saiful Islam said the boys were playing beside a pond at noon. At one point they appeared to have fallen into the pond and drowned, he said.
Their bodies were later recovered from the pond, he said.
