Signal No 3 at seaports

The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal no three, reports UNB.
The warning came as the well-marked low over Northwest Bay and adjoining Orissa coast moved northwards and now lies over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bihar, said a Met Office bulletin on Sunday.
Under its influence, steep pressure gradient lies over North Bay the bulletin said adding that squally weather may affect the North Bay, adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh and the maritime ports.
