The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal No. 3 as squally weather is likely to affect those, the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, reports UNB.

The low over the northwest Bay and adjoining areas of Gangetic West Bengal now lies over the same area, said a Met office warning message on Wednesday.

Under its influence squally weather is likely to affect the maritime ports, the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, it said.

It advised all the fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay to proceed with caution until further notice.
