Silver Discoverer arrives today to visit Sundarbans

BAGERHAT, Jan 26 (UNB): Silver Discoverer, a cruise ship operated by Silver Sea Cruise, will reach the Mongla port here today (Sunday) with 53 tourists from five different countries to visit the Sundarbans, a UNESCO world heritage site.

They will stay here for three days as part of a tour jointly arranged by Bangladesh's Journey Plus and Pugmark Tours. Earlier, Silver Discoverer visited Maheshkhali Island and the Sundarbans twice in 2017 carrying 162 foreign tourists from 17 countries.

On its arrival from Chennai, the ship will dock at Mongla sea port.

The tourists will then visit several tourist spots in the Sundarbans, including Dhangmari Dolphin Sanctuary, Charputia, Tikona Island and Alorkol Fishermen Colony, from January 28 to January 30.
