A Dhaka court sent on Wednesday singer Asif Akbar to jail rejecting both his remand and bail petitions in a case filed by lyricist and composer Shafiq Tuhin.
Tuhin filed the case against Asif for music piracy and threatening him on the Facebook, reports UNB.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Keshob Kumar Roy passed the order when investigation officer of the case and sub-inspector of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Proloy Roy filed a petition seeking a five-day remand for him.
Asif's lawyers also filed a petition seeking bail for him.
