BARISAL, Sept 19 (UNB): Barisal City Corporation Monday opened six slaughterhouses to ensure supply of standard meat among the consumers.
Health and Sanitary Inspector of the corporation Jahangir Hossain Molla said the temporary slaughterhouses have been opened at Puran Bazar, Bangla Bazar, Chowmatha Bazar, Sagordi Bazar, Natun Bazar and Kashipur Bazar of the city in hygienic condition.
He said 15 staff members of the corporation have been given a three-day training for slaughtering animals in hygienic way.
