Solar power system installed at DGFI HQ

To save the national grid electricity by alternative source of electricity, a 30 KW solar panel has been inaugurated by Director General (DG) of the office of Director General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) Lt. General Mollah Fazle Akbar at Sainik Line DGFI Headquarters (HQ), Dhaka Cantonment Thursday.
The present government is encouraging the use of solar energy and instructed to bring all government buildings under solar energy system gradually.
Following the government instruction, DGFI installed a solar system at DGFI HQ which seems to be the largest among the panels so far installed in government sector, an ISPR press release said.
The solar panel has been installed in a manner that it will provide 24-hour solar electricity as a main power supply and PDB supply will remain as standby. Therefore, DGFI will never experience any load shedding by using this solar system. DGFI will save 20 to 30 KVA electricity.
